The Wolfetones have been singing out for the freedom of a United Ireland for over 35 years. Beginning in 1963, when Derek and Brian Warfield and their friend Noel Nagle met Tommy Byrne at an Irish music festival is Roscommon. They formed a group, taking as their moniker the name of the great 18th century nationalist and patriot, Theobald Wolfe Tone. The group's aim remained unchanged from its inception: to build a musical house in which all Irish people can live in unity and peace.
